Individual tire diameter tolerances?
Hi, so I just blew out a sidewall on one of the factory tires. It's toast. So, as usual with any AWD car, the tire shop says I have to get all 4 new tires. I know the tolerances on a Subaru are pretty big, does anyone know what the acceptable difference in tire diameter or tread depth is on a GLK350?
I supposed I could order a new tire from Tire Rack and have it shaved if need be, but would rather not...
Haven't measured the tread depth on the 3 I have left, need to get a tread depth gauge in the am. 12k on it so far though, 2 rotations done so far.
Any thoughts?

At a minimum, you need to buy 2. Put them on the rear. These are not $300 tires.... don't start shaving a new tire...cheaper to buy 2 in the long run!
