Bluetooth/Iphone Issues
I am a site newbie. Just took delivery of a 2013 GLK 350 and trying to figure out about the Bluetooth. The car does not have the Multi-Media Package, just the iPod-USB connections, and AUX. Have two issues: There is no ring tone over the car speakers for incoming calls (just the phone rings). All other phone functions work fine. Also, no Text Messages can be received or opened in Command. Mercedes tells me iPhones do not support text messages in the vehicle. Is this true?
I have an iPhone 4 (not S) with the newest OS update.
Any help appreciated.

I don't think you'll get texts on command.

About the rings in you car, i am not 100% sure if it works in your case or not.
Next time, when the phone rings in you car (and while it's still ringing, don't pick up the call just yet), turn up the volume using either the volume knob or the button on the steering wheel.
The volume could have been turned all the way down previously.

As far as the ringing I have not really noticed if the ring tone plays through the car or just from my phone but I definitely hear the ring tones I have set up for different callers. I would think ble2716 is on the right track and the volume is turned down.

I just took delivery on a c300 2013..it doesnt have the navigation system in it..but i connected my iphone perfect to it...the text message indicator is not grayed out but it still isnt working...it isnt getting my texts...any help..
i have repaired several times...its weird...the text message at the bottom of the screen is not grayed out..but wont read my texts...iphone 4s and ios6.0.1 updated...
please help
