Snow and ice.
Fortunately we don't get winters here in TN like the 60 years I lived in New England, but I was looking at the windshield wiper well on my GLK and it sure looks like it could get filled with frozen snow and ice and be a real bear to clean out. Has anyone had this problem up in cold country? Most cars have a similar well but usually not as deep as this one.

...from Massachusetts...no winter problems whatsoever. It plows through snow w/o issues and no wiper icing/buildup.
I can't say that on either count on my AMG....can't leave the garage w/more than an half inch of snow.

The GLK is my wife's car but I found no problem with keeping the area around the wipers cleaned out. We had a very mild winter last year but the car had no problem with ice or snow in New Brunswick, Canada.
So far my AMG sleeps in our warm basement garage for the winter. Winters here are generally not kind to cars. Ice, snow, salt and lots of really dirty sand are the norm. I prefer to store my AMG from the ravages of the Maritime winter.
