Traded the C300 for a 2013 GLK350
New 2013 GLK 350 owner here. Traded in the C300 today and I should be taking delivery of the GLK by week's end.
I opted for the base 4Matic model after having gotten P1/P2 in the C300. Not only has the MSRP on these cars risen considerably since I was last in the market, but I wanted a car I didn't have to worry about shelling $1,000 if a headlight breaks.
Anyways, there seems to be one thing I overlooked during the vehicle purchase. Apparently, the non-MM GLK's have a 5.8 inch screen as opposed to the 7 inch screen that comes with the MM package.
Can someone show me a picture with the difference between the two? Is the resolution in the 5.8 as bad as the little ones they used to put in the C class without MM? Pictures would be appreciated. I tried searching the forum and google but to no avail (and my internet is being ridiculously slow).
I chose a metallic paint (Iridium Silver) and the options included were heated seats, BERKER Maps wiring (?), and ipod integration. (Maybe I'm forgetting one thing)
MSRP $41,500~
Sale Price $39,500
Only ~5% off of MSRP, not the best deal, but it was quick and painless. Over in about 35 minutes. Compare that with the almost 1.5 hours I spent at Subaru being hounded by salesmen.

5.8 inch screen on 2013 GLK
Here is a picture of the 5.8 inch screen on the 2013 GLK without the Navigation package.

Nice, TY. Glad to see it is a full color display at a nice resolution.
I should be taking delivery of my vehicle within the week. It really took some pondering to decide between the GLK or the C300 4Matic, but I took a gamble and went for the bigger engine and (slightly) bigger car.
I also figured this is the closest thing to a C class wagon that I I will be able to buy in the U.S.
One of my main concerns is the creaking plastic "aluminum" trim on the door handles. They creaked very loudly in the GLK ont he showroom floor. That said, I know a couple of you got it fixed but it seems like it is a hit or miss depending on the stealership.

Although, the difference in size between the two screens is just 1.2" diagonally, the smaller non MM screen looks really small, with a huge empty border surrounding it.
The 7" inch screen definitely looks better, if you are willing to spring for the package.
As for the creaky doors handles, it is definitely hit or miss. Quite sad that there isn't anything definitive to solve it.

Go figure, two days after I traded in the C300 and with maybe 1-3 more days before I take delivery of the GLK I get rear ended in a hit and run accident on the highway with none other than a dark blue 90's honda accord...
I hope there is a special place in hell for people who leave the scene of an accident.

Update:
Took delivery of my GLK two days ago with little hassle over the bumper/diffuser/exhaust tip that needs to be replaced. $500 reduction in trade value was fair IMO.
The car is getting tinted right now at Sun Auto Glass of Englewood, NJ. I was going to go with ~50%, as I liked it in my C300, but got cold feet at the last minute and changed my mind after seeing another vehicle with 35%. At $100 I thought it was quite pricey for just two windows, but I'm sure it had something to do with the fact I drove up without calling and my first question was, "Can we get this done today?".

35% VLT Llumar ATR. I found the color match to be fairly close to the factory privacy glass, if a little lighter. I look forward to seeing what a 35% tint look like at night, as my previous car only had a 55% tint.
