Sirius

Just got my bill from them. $184 for one year including a $2.00 Invoice Fee. I have to pay them $2 for the priviledge of sending me a bill? Adious satellite. Plus I just got it today and it's due yesterday. Bunch of idiots.

Beyond the billing issues, do you enjoy satellite radio?

3.5-Yes I did enjoy it. I'm a child and fan of the 1950's but I don't drive enough to justify the cost. CD's will have to do.

Irid- That's sort of what I expect. I assume I'll still get normal AM/FM reception even with that stubby antenna?

Comment-Why break out the $2.00 invoice fee and annoy people? Why not just include it in the price? Why not a line item for toilet paper for the men's room also?

I never replied to the letters after my promo subscription, I ended up getting a final offer for $95 a year. I have it on my GLK and C300, not too shabby, although someone posted elsewhere they pay $85 a year. I think it comes in handy on road trips.

I agree, stuff like that is annoying. However, I'm afraid it's not unusual these days. My utility bills, water/sewer bill, telephone bill and so on are just loaded with "little" add-on fees; most for the most obscure things.

LOL

How true, but yes almost every one of my bills are packed with little miscellaneous "fees" that drive up the price a few bucks here and there probably less than a $100 by the year's end.

Not much, but to put things in perspective almost everyone in my company donated 2% of their paycheck for the past few weeks and raised over $19,000 for charitable donations! It really kills me that a few bucks here and there for BS line items will line the pockets of some of these corporate bigheads.

NEVER give them the CC number. They will never let you cancel. Even if you pay using invoice/check, cancelling Sirius was a major frustration with their call center in Manila. Stick with other entertainment options -- CD, internet radio, MP3.

I never used mine, not even once, so I allowed it to expire.

Now I'm getting the $26 come-ons...

My dealer told me you can get a lifetime subscription for $300 and it's transferable to other vehicles that is Sirius ready. There is a ID # from the Command Center that you just give them.

You pay 50K for a car that will get you from here to there like a Yugo will and you complain about $2...What was tacked onto the sale of your car? If you really don't use/like Sirius, don't renew but $2...give me a break!

You seem to make a habit of missing the point.

Sirius CS is a major PITA to deal with. I struggled with them for a week to get my radio turned on for a free promotion, and finally found someone stateside to get me up and running.

I enjoyed the service immensely. If I could get that $26 come on I'd be all over it, but I'm too cheap to pay the $100/year I was offered.

So far I've seen $100, $95, $85, and $60. I'll just wait and see how low can you go?

I lose it when the same people continually complain about their car. If that is lack of tact, so be it. Let's make this forum a bit more productive.

ex:where to get a cargo cover, correct oil, how to do a repair, adding/replacing parts etc...

not...the manual stinks, Sirius is charging me an extra $2

May I suggest you start your own web site and forum. Then you can control the content of the posts. If you are unable or unwilling to do so I suggest you ignore posts and subjects you disagree with. No one makes you read them. Reading a post you don't like then making stupid, nonconstructive comments about it shows a certain lack of, shall we politely say, tact. We certainly would not want to be the cause of you "losing it" over such minor issues.

I've been around both MB forums for for a quite a bit longer than you and have contributed constructively to them. I will also continue to reply to these posts that solve nothing other than to complain. That's how to keep this forum "polite".

$2.00 fee

I had a company pull the $2.00 invoice fee on a company I worked for.

We just paid the bill by cheque and included a $2.00 cheque writing fee to offset the $2.00 invoice fee.

They never complained and we never paid the $2.00

Update.

Called Sirius, told them to cancel service. End result, exact same service for 1 year, $94.93. Origial price, $184.18.
See Cindy, complaining has it's uses.

Rixard, I like that idea.

Also if you read the fine print, by originally signing up for the service you also agree to automatic renewal. If you don't renew they charge you a daily use fee til it's canceled. I didn't even get the bill til the day after it was due. They cancelled all that when I took the $94 deal.

Yawn...old fella finally did something instead of whining.
Of course, this has been known since beginning of time.
No wonder Sirius stock stinks.

As for Bimmers, still class act that's for sure...not sure some Merc posters are though.
