I have a '11 GLK 350 4Matic with about 25,000 miles. Last week I started the truck after several days of not using it and the CEL went on. Called the dealer and had an appointment for Thursday. SA called and said it was a bad thermostat and they would replace it. I picked the truck up that night and drove about 100 miles since then. Today (Saturday) I noticed a very annoying squealing sound coming from the engine bay. I opened the hood - I swear it sounds like the belt at the front of the engine.

My question is: Do they remove the belt to change the thermostat?

I wanted to know prior to calling them on Monday.
