transfer case replacement at 10,000 miles
Sorry if this is a duplicate post but my last one seems to have disappeared.
New 2011 GLK with 10k miles. No problems until this week. Transfer case was making the entire car to shudder like a 15" subwoofer was in the trunk (service manager's direct quote after test drive).
Was told on Friday that transfer case had to be replaced. Then got a call today that a "fix" had been put in place by a regional service rep and the transfer case miraculously does not need to be replaced anymore.
Anyone have a similar experience?
