How to reset maintenance Minder

Since my dealer insists on overfilling my 2011 GLK with oil when they change it, I've been thinking about doing the service on it myself. How hard is it to reset the maintenance minder on this thing if I decide to service it myself. Would I endanger my extended warranty coverage?

You can try to reset it yourself if you decided to performing the service yourself.

Resetting the service reminder is the easy part the issue you should be more concerned about is whether you or someone else can perform the other needed maintenance. The A and B service call for certain other thing to be done to maintain your warranty. If you are out of warranty then no matter but if you are not and you have an issue you may be SOL. So word to the wise check the oil level if you need to but make sure the other services are performed. It's all in your best interest.

MkenM:

I've decided to let the dealer service the car again. This'll bee the third service on the car, and, on the previous service visits they've given me the car back with 9 quarts of oil in it. It holds 7.4. Both times I've taken it back to get them to remove the extra oil, and, they've done so. I even told them last time that it doesn't hold 9, but, they ignored me and did it anyway. Do these guys ever get any smarter??

I am going to let my dealer do the service too.
It will be "A3" service this time.
