Adding Rear Screens (GLK250 Bluetec)

I just picked up my GLK250 Diesel yesterday.. so far so good..

Looking to add rear headrest screens for the kids..

Has anyone added aftermarket screens that connect to the factory headunit?
I think 2600 is a little much for the dealer option..

I could always by a stand alone system, but I was hoping to add something using the original head unit/radio

Or, for a fraction of the cost, get a couple ipad minis and mount them on your headrests.

You're right $2,600 is a bit much. I ordered mine with the harness which was less that $200 with the thought in mind of doing my own thing. Gave up and so the harness was $200 out the window.

I see adds for replacement headrest with screens all the time.

Check Best Buy or Fry's, or maybe a local auto stereo shop...

I like the idea of mini ipads...that should work nicely. I may give that a try as well.

It is a good idea; the iPads have many more uses than just the head-rest screen and they will still cost a good bit less.
