From: CANADA eh!
Very very slow
I am not sure if you can enter the gps coordinates but I know for sure that you can save the gps coordinates (where your car is located at the time).

It has always been said that the MB Nav system leaves something to be desired. With that said there is a work around. While on the current map zoom out as far as possible and then use the Comand Control wheel to scroll to your destination zoom in and when you find the location tell the system to mark it and make it a destination.

Spend $85.00 and find the location you want or $40K+ and get the vehicle you want to take you to your destination. But I guess you made your choice. There will always be something better than what you have no matter what it is so why sweat the small stuff enjoy the drive.

Thanks for the reply (and suggestion) My point, via sarcasm, is that Command Navigation leaves a lot to be desired. Having used this system for almost 3 years now (40,000 mi) I have found many inadequacies and errors (especially POIs') when compared to my 5 year old Garmin Nuvi 765. (which I use in my other vehicle - but now use it in the GLK when on extended trips) One glaring inadequacy is updates. Garmin offers free updates via downloads. Navteq wants $150.00 for each individual update via a DVD. I updated in early 2012 and now I see that there is a newer update available. MB dropped the ball on this one.

Updates are $250.00 from Navteq or MB. I bought the 2012.2 update last year in June. The files on the update disk were burned on the disk in June of 2011. They claim it takes 6 - 9 months to compile data. MB is not stupid they know how to get you and me coming and going. Oh and BTW thats with or without Navigation.

yes u r correct! The updates are $250.00. I mistakenly listed $150.00, Thanks.

btw: I will not updating my Nav anymore. Like you said, the so called "update DVD" is not current anyway. My Garmin Nuvi is my "go to" Nav guide now.
