Got 43 mpg / 5.4 l/100km in my 2013 GLK 250 BlueTec today (Pics).


Possibly the only REAL negative is the run flats. You get them with many other cars as well. My dealer has offered to swap them for conventional tires when the car arrives. I'm still weighing that one. All the other negatives mentioned are 'maybe's'.
What 'might' happen you can attach to any other car you purchase. The diesel engine will far outlast most gasoline engines. You have no concerns for ignition problems as you do for gas engines and maintenance (plugs and wires,) in the long term will equal any costs you 'might' have relative to the adblue.. If you drive 15K miles or so annually, you're far better off with the diesel both in fuel savings and long term cost of maintenance.
