Here's what's new in 2014
I just ordered my 2014 GLK250 (Oct delivery)and received this from the dealer. 13's and 14's are pretty much the exact same including the option packages aside from this (came out of the PDF salesrep supplied). the starting MSRP is also the same as 13's
Change Highlights:
Models Available
• GLK 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC – SoP June 2013
• GLK 350 4MATIC – SoP June 2013
What’s New for MY14
• Packages and options carry-over from MY13
• 360 Camera replaces Rear View Camera in Navigation Package
• New COMAND Online functionality with web browser and MB Apps
with Navigation Package
• Paint Changes:
• 526 – Dolomite Brown NEW
• 497 – Cuprite Brown DELETED
New temporary Manual ‘M’ mode:
A new temporary manual ‘M’ transmission mode has been added in
order to facilitate a dynamic driving style as well as to avoid
inadvertently remaining in manual mode (especially after a manual
downshift). After the driver manually downshifts or upshifts via the
steering wheel paddles, the transmission will automatically revert back
to the automatic mode that was last used once a defined time interval
has elapsed.
The current gear selected as well as a recommendation about when to
shift gears appears in the multifunction instrument cluster display when
temporary ‘M’ mode is active so that the driver can operate the vehicle
as efficiently as possible.

2014 GLK250 BlueTEC, 2012 BMW 335is Conv.
Is that for a non-US market? In the US, the Navigation Package is called the Multimedia Package. Also, when I build a GLK350 (the 250 isn't updated for 2014 yet) on mbusa.com, the Multimedia Package still says "Rear view camera" with no mention of 360 even when you click on it for more info. But there is a Parking Assistance Package that includes Parktronic and Surround View. I'd assume Surround View is the 360 camera.

I ordered mine when the 2014 prices were not yet available. I negotiated 4.5% discount and made the rep promise to include some SWAG Its a little more difficult to get larger discounts on orders of models that haven't even started shipping. I also made them include any promotions that may pop up between now and then. Overall I'm OK with what I paid since it's replacing my 2010 GLK350 that was stolen last month. The price on that one was pretty close to what I paid on this one and I'm getting a lot more updated tech included on the new model.
BTW - I got mine at Oakville, I used to deal with MBDowtown, but found them to be arrogant, like they were doing me the favor selling. Part of buying a Benz is the experience , I got that in Oakville.

shotgun_banjo - ya, they broke into my house took the keys and drove away :0 All while I was sleeping comfortably in my bed upstairs. On the bright side, it saved my the pain of negotiating a trade in value. lol.

It's the smallest discount I've ever done on a vehicle, but the dealer was very helpful so I suppose that is worth something

I custom-ordered a new 2014, and I was only able to get a 5% discount. This despite the fact that my boss is personal friends with the CEO of Mercedes Canada and put in a good word. I guess there's only so much they can do...

But don't get me wrong, I'm still super excited to get it. I just wish I could do European delivery. I'm in Germany the last week of September, and our vehicle is probably being built very close to that time, but it's hard to time it I'm sure.

Driving a rental GLK250 in Germany on the Autobahn is what prompted me to buy one... it was super nice, and handled itself at 230km/h just fine.

Nice! I have a BMW 135i rental lined up actually... planning to do the Nurburgring so wanted something more comparable to my own car. Can't envision the GLK on a race track.

Watch out -- I'm told that the rental car companies keep an eye on the cars entering the Nurburgring, and invalidate the rental or the insurance if they catch you on the track in one of their cars.

That being said it's not really any much different from here at home. Your insurance company won't cover you if you have an accident during auto-cross, track days, etc.

Thank you, that is great advice. I'll have to do a bit more research on this. To me, the Nurburgring is a public toll road. I think it'd be a lot different if you were taking it to an actual "race track" and were to compete.

The Nurburgring is a public toll road, however unlessyour insurance specifically covers you on this road you will not be insured andif you get into an accident you'll have to pay for the car and for any damageto the road including guard rails.
There are a few companies that rent cars specifically forthe Nurburgring:
Rent4ring.de
RSRnurgurg.com
nurburgring.org.uk
Make sure you get any available extra insurance that willreduce your liability. Of course if youare driving past your abilities or recklessly no insurance will cover you.

Yeah, it's a tough one. If my wife didn't want this specific vehicle I'd probably have kept shopping around a bit. It's the smallest discount I've ever negotiated on a vehicle. Hell, we negotiated a bigger discount on the vehicle she's currently driving ('08 Toyota Yaris).

This time I did a little better and got about 18% off MSRP 2 days ago for my 2014 GLK. Wasn't that difficult with the dealer incentives, most dealers were offering 12-13% off without too much work, probably because the 2015s are arriving now.

I feel ya - I got my 2008 c350 in September 2007 and didn't get much discount right when they were released. Been a great car though
