GLK350 wouldn't start

GLK350 wouldn't start
I walked up to my GLK350 yesterday, pushed the unlock button on my key, 4 of us climbed in, all doors shut, stuck my key in the port... and nothing. All displays remained dark, no messages and the engine wouldn't turn over.
Removed key, reinserted, still nothing. Tried this several times. So, tried my wife's key and everything fired right up, first try.
Tried my key again this morning and it worked just fine. I called our MB dealer service department and provided the same information. They asked some questions and then told me to use the key for a few more days and see what happens.
We were out of town when this happened and parked near the end of a long wharf and had just finished lunch at a restaurant on the wharf. We would've been in deep kimchee had my wife not brought her key.
Now I don't trust my key for obvious reasons. Anyone else have this key failure experience?
