If the black is the metallic black it will always look good even when dirty. Wife's mercedes is metallic black and even after 6 years still looks great. Non-metallic Black shows a lot of road dirt and polish marks if not careful. The white is more a milk white, at least my GLK is, which also hide the road dirt. I would take white over regular black but metallic black over all others. Of course metallic colors are more expensive.

The two base colours are not metallic. Just plain white or black. In Canada, all other colours cost (from memory) at least another $875.
We had same dilemma, but chose black.
Black looks great on most Mercedes but needs to be kept clean to keep looking good. White is more forgiving and easier to touch up small dings. We have a white car.
The other colour choices were OK, but nothing struck us as being worth the extra cost.

Having a tough time to pick which color for a MB?
That is a nice problem you have here, which I am sure a lot of people wouldn't mind to have.
If you're a type of person that really take care of your car and wash it regularly (once a week?) then black is a good choice.
Black color does look nice when it's spotless clean but it doesn't hide dirt very well.
If you're like me, (lazy to wash the car regularly), then white would be a better choice as it hide the dirts a little better than black.
I also installed mud guards to reduce the dirts getting on my car.
Either choice is good.

Configurations otherwise being the same, I'd pick white. I don't know what I was smoking when I ordered my current car in black. Thankfully I only have this car for a few more weeks.
