Winter Storage for GLK

Winter Storage for GLK
And before anyone asks why, I am in Canada where we have harsh winters and they salt/sand the roads every snowfall, so I don't want my car sandblasted with rock chips, or to have to deal with an early onslaught of rust.
What are the things to do for a 2013 GLK?
So far I have:
- Over inflated the tires
- Added fuel stabilizer with full gas tank
- I plan to remove battery
- Cleaned interior and removed mats
- I plan to disconnect the battery and put it inside my house on wood
The car will be in my garage which is unheated for about 4-5mths.
Anything else I should do?
Thanks

What's wrong with just installing a trickle charger for the battery? Why take the battery out? I don't have the harsh weather you do. Temps rarely get below freezing. My garage is also unheated but for the last 10+ years. I just leave the car as is but just connect the batt charger. Seems to work just fine.

Yes.... Grab some 'Bounce' sheets and stuff a sheet or 2 in every air intake! Critters don't like the 'Bounce' smell and stay away from making nests in your Engine intake MAF or HVAC systems...! Old Snowmobile trick LOL!
Don't forget to remove before start-up.

In marine engines left over the winter we usually fog them. Assuming this is a gas GLK, condensation can form in the cylinders and since gasoline has a low vapor pressure, the rings and cylinder walls can rust. Diesels don't need this. However, that is in a boat yard close to the water. If for the 4-5 months the temp is going to remain below 32°F, you can probably don't need this. If it is going to be in warm storage then the engine should be rotated every 4 weeks to move the oil around. The bounce works well but if you are where critters are, you will probably be finding nuts and seeds and dead thing all summer.

Extended Storage
Good tips re: fuel stabilizer! Does anyone know if disconnecting the battery for 6 months in a moderate climate results in issues on startup such as having to put a radio code in, etc. I don't intend on having anyone fire it up monthly. 2010 GLK350
