Left Lane News has an article about the upcoming model with a few photos of the interior, but all of exterior pics are cammo. Goodbye to the boxy shape.

Very very slow
Exterior looks like a Toyota Matrix.
Interior has an iPad like display.
Not too impressed.

I guess I'll be keeping my 2013 for a very long time ... Planned too anyway.

Saw the camo'ed version a few weeks ago. Too early to say, but if the boxy look is going away I don't see us doing the new one. That being said my wife likes to keep her vehicles for a long time, so she'd probably be ready once the 3rd gen is ready to go (6-7 years from now).

And does it have a spare tire ??

And width across cargo area for a set of golf clubs. This might not seem important in Germany, but here and elsewhere, it could be a deal breaker. Almost was for us.

It's a bit hard to see what the exterior will look like. However, that interior looks awesome. The new COMAND controller with touch interface and a possible HUD all look very promising.

I like the interior but the exterior and the shape especially the profile of the car is so different than the current generation. I still like my car more but i will have to wait and see the new one without cammo to decide!

I hope the "Oops, we forgot to add a navigation screen! Quick, grab some double-stick tape!" screen is short-lived. I don't like it in the CLA, GLA, C, or GLK.

That's Mercedes take on the Tesla's 17" center console.
Without the form or function.

Surprised that MB has ditched the boxy look on the GLK as it appears to be a leading reason why people bought. It was for us, along with the 2WD RWD package availability. Disappointed that the GLK250 is unavailable in 2WD in the USA market. May have to consider the Jeep GC in the future as it is available in 2WD with the diesel but it is considerably larger, possibly same platform as the ML. Maybe a used 2015 GLK if still boxy.

I must admit I don't like that screen. But maybe we will get used to it?

If the new GLK looks anything like the GLA, it should be a hit. Hopefully it will have better dimensions (wider inside back and better access to rear seats).

The current GLK looks kind of old fashioned, high and boxy compared with GLA and other Benzes when you look around the dealer lot. It is however distinctive!

I read that all Benzes will have a hybrid option in coming years. Wonder if that applies to GLK? A diesel hybrid would be ideal!

The GLA is extremely cramped, no head room and I'm 5'7" - I hope it's nothing like that vehicle.

Well, it is a compact SUV. Headroom seems to be better than some comparable vehicles, worse than others, but in the same ballpark. It is slightly better than the GLK!

Front Head Room (in)
Audi Q3 37
BMW X1 41.3
Mercedes GLA 40
Mazda CX5 40.1
Sub Forester 41.4
Mercedes GLK 39.8

Right or wrong, the above numbers from http://www.thecarconnection.com/car-...glk-class_2015

Don't know if the sunroof can be omitted, but that would no doubt help if headroom is an issue.

I'm 6'3" and have no issues with headroom. But, then again I am a man with no hat! LOL

With only 22K on my 2011 I'm in no hurry to get rid of it, and the 2016 isn't doing anything to change that...

My only interest in obtaining a new 2015 is it would allow me to select only the options we do not have including the diesel option. If the 2016 goes jelly bean in shape, at least there will be three years of used vehicles when the diesel was available to peruse when the time arrives. Problem is the darn options!
