Dealer Invoice Question on yellow or green tires/brakes???
I went to the dealer the other day to look at an issue with the passenger door locks that were not working...they fixed that problem as its still under warranty...but, I was looking at the invoice and noticed that under the inspection portion of the invoice it stated:
"Front brakes and rear tires are green, rear brakes and front tires are yellow"
didn't quite understand that fully...im assuming that the yellow means that its close having to be replaced, and with that in mind im also assuming that if it ever says "red" then the part would need to be replaced.???

Yes. Green inspection results are fine. Yellow results are close to the edges of the acceptable range and will need your attention soon. Red is outside acceptable ranges and means that a correction is needed, whatever "correction" would be for the item in question (replacement, adjustment, etc.).
Did the service people hand you an inspection report and not explain it? I get explanations even when I don't need or want them. "Yeah yeah, I get it, you changed the oil... may I leave now?"
