Recent purchase price/discounts?

My parents are in the market for a small SUV/CUV. They've test driven the X3 and GLK350 and are in the process of negotiating a price with the dealer.

What types of discounts have folks been able to get on the GLK350's?

Currently the best the dealer is willing to do is knock a MSRP $46,650 down to $40,100 + ttl and transportation fees (being trucked over from another dealership)

I would say that's a decent deal, but then the same dealer is willing to knock $12k off any E350, which makes the $6k on the GLK350 seems sad.

So those of you have purchased recently, what types of pricing discounts are you getting?

Thanks

Trying to compare the discount structure between the E350 and a GLK is non-productive. Either discount you mention will result in the dealer selling the vehicle for less than he originally paid for it. Incentives to the dealer, that change monthly, enables the dealer to sell at these numbers. The E350 has long been more sales incentive supported by the manufacturer making the discount larger in dollars.

This.

However, we did just get ourselves a GLK. Don't have the exact numbers in front of me, but I believe it was 47.5k (Polar White, Multimedia, premium, pano roof, appearance pkg, keyless go) for a selling price of 40,700. 0 cap cost reduction (just drive off), MF .00116, 425/mo + tax
