Looking at 2013 GLK250BT...What changed for 2014?

I have a chance to get a light demo 2013 GLK250BT. The only thing is I dont know what the standard features were on 2013 and if they're the same as 2014.

The options its listed as having are: COMMAND nav & Driving assistance. Now for 2014 when I goto build one online it wont let me just pick nav without taking the premium package. which makes me believe that there are differences between 2013 and 2014 options.

can someone tell me the list of standard features for 2013 only. I cant find it online anywhere and I cant assume its the same as 2014.

A gaggle of MB's
Back the truck up - post the VIN for this "demo" and I can pull features sheet for you...

Frankly - with a 2013 low mileage - what you are looking for is Mercedes certified which will add 1 yr to existing balance 4yr/50K warranty - and extend mileage cap to 100K.

What you want to "beware of" are non-MB dealers who specialize in retail buy backs..

Keep the beat !

Yes, includes standard memory seats. Changes that I have noticed from 2013-2014 (I have the 2014):

1. Updated multifunction/trip computer display. The Distronic Plus and Lane Keeping Assist graphics have been updated. I would guess that other display menus and screens have been updated as well.
2. Navigation display is also a little different, especially with regards to traffic condition displays.
3. The 2014s have the brake Hold function, which lets you push down the brake pedal quickly to engage and hold the brakes without needing to keep pressing the brake pedal, until you push the gas pedal again.
Most of the rest should be identical. Either one is an amazing car.

If the car you're looking at has the full driver assistance package, that's rare. I had to order mine that way, one of the best features you can get at a super reasonable price, considering the technology. Very, very happy with it.

My 2014 does not have memory seats and the seat adjustment is on the side of the seat itself, not on door. To get memory seats, I would have to ordered a $1700 "Convenience Package" :

CONVENIENCE PACKAGE

Brief description

115V Power Socket
Seating Package
Memory Package w/ Power Steering Column
Power Adjustable Passenger's Seat
Heated Steering Wheel
Power Lumbar Support
Storage Box Under Driver's Seat
KEYLESS-GO

I imagine that demo would have the memory seats, but you never know.

I am in Canada where things may be different. But I was offered a 2013 demo and I still have the full spec/option sheet for it. It too does not mention the convenience package or the items included in that package.

I purchased a 2013 dealer demo and it has the break hold function. So, the 2013's do have this feature.

Brake hold and hill start assist are standard on the 2013 (in Canada anyway)

Thanks to the original poster for the spec sheets.

OP, ... I assume you are in Canada.

Those lists are useful. I compared the 2014 list with the list dealer gave me for my 2014, which is kind of bare bones except for trailer hitch. Mostly the same except for:

- Not sure that I have "Remote Trunk Release" (It lists that under Factory Standard equipment - Interior)

- Factory Code 192 - don't know what that is? Not on my list.
( I do have factory code 1U2 (snow guard front) and factory code 1U3 (Underbody wax protection))

- 919 Cooling amplifier - not on my list. What is that?

It says I have rain sensing wipers, but if I do, I haven't seen them activate!

You need to turn the wiper setting to the first or second "intermittent" setting. This activates the rain-sensing wiper feature at two different levels of sensitivity toward rain on the windshield. Once you picked a setting you like, you can leave it set, and the wipers will come on when they pick up a sufficient level of reflection due to water or snow.

The differences between 2014 and 2013:

- 360 degree camera instead of rear-only camera
- Mecedes-Benz Apps on the COMAND system (useless)
- Removal of the headlamp washing system.

In the United States, the 360-degree camera comes in the Parking Assistance Package. The Multimedia Package continues to include a rear-only camera.

In Canada, the rear-only camera was replaced with the 360 camera.
