2014 GLK350 Check Engine Light???

I leased a 2014 GLK350 in Dec. 19th 2013 for my wife. Today when the car hits little over 1000miles I noticed there was the engine light came up. Is this an common issue with GLK? I am going to schedule for a service tomorrow.

I don't think it is common issue for GLK. Try to tighten the gas cap. If it doesn't help, bring it in to the dealer. GL

In 52000 miles, I have never seen the check engine light except on pre-start up. However a common cause on most vehicles is a lose gas cap. It may take several start- run- stop cycles to clear it.If it doesn't clear in 3 days take it in to the dealer.

Take it straight to the dealer. My car had the CEL come on and they ended up changing a camshaft, the right cylinder head, and some other stuff. Look for my thread called 2013 GLK Issues.

Hopefully your dealer has competent mechanics. Good luck.

Thanks guys. I've checked the gas cap but still the same. I am calling a local dealership today and I will follow up with it.

Which dealer are you taking it to? I use MB Laguna Niguel. Ask for Matt Moskal as your service advisor.

I took it to one in Ontario, CA because I used to know someone there.
Anyway, it was not nothing major issue they said it was just a sensor problem and I brought the car back in 2 days.

I need help!!! My GLK would not start earlier today. It sounded like it wanted to, however after several attempts it started. The engine light is now on. I am traveling and there is not a dealer close to me.
