backlight on light switch face

Does the GLK's light switch face on the left side of the dashboard light up? I just noticed the dial face unlit but the knob have a back light and its kinda stupid for the knob to be lit but you can't see what you are turning the knob too.

Nope! Been that way on C's since the W203 back in 2001. You would have thought that they would have been tired of complaints by now.

I guess they want us to just keep it on Auto. I thought the lack of backlighting was weird, too.
