Considering a GLK 350 (2011)
Hello,
I am looking for a 2011 GLK 350 and wanted to know if there is any gotchas when it comes to inspecting any neglect or to be aware of common issues.
I am looking for something still under warranty just to prevent any issues outside of normal wear and tear. However, I wanted to make sure I am not putting too much faith in the MB 4/50k warranty.
I have checked the DIY and the oil changes look reasonable, and it takes the same oil as the 335i that we currently have (ow40 Mobil 1), also the filter design is very similar to the bmw as well.
The main reason I am choosing the 2011 is price point, also the panoramic roof covers seem to be better quality than the 2010, I came to this conclusion today as my wife pointed that out, the 2010 seems to let in much more light than the 2011 and I wanted to make sure if that is the case.
I did a google search and could not find anything that describes my theory in detail.

Congrats and have faith on the warranty as it is the best warranty that I have ever seen yet and use it while it is still there. You will be surprised how good MB fixes things under warranty and that is the reason why I opted to get a c-class than a bimmer when I was shopping for another ride 2 years ago.

Showa - I will get the pics out, I am refinishing the garage floors and will take better pictures soon.
Shotgun_banjo - I heard mixed reviews on the warranty service on these forums, I did have to take it in to get the motor mount replaced but I did that through my sales rep, so I hope their service is good.
