Sunroof Noise
Ive noticed this for some time now, but whenever i have my sunroof open the sunroof portion always makes a rattling sound...not persistently, but mostly at cruising speeds less than 40mph...there are no whistling noises or wind noises when closed however. the rattling only occurs when the roof is open...the sound is comparable to something that is loose and not properly torqued (I'm not saying that this is the issue though...just a comparable scenario)
any one with similar issues?

I have a rattle when I go over bumps, small and big. It sounds like it's coming from the sun roof, (pano). It's like a light knocking of two hard surfaces.

Mine doesn't have that noise so I'd suggest a trip to the dealer...

Been opened-roofed for last few days, highway and regular streets. Potholes, speedbumbs, curbs - does not make noise. I would think the same ^

very impressed too...feels solid and somewhat nimble considering its an SUV. I love it, and when I was in the snow covered mountains of mammoth california, it really impressed me considering the guy next to me with the 4x4 lifted chevy silverado with a small block V8 couldn't hold its own on the snowy roads...I love this baby...and yes I have driven it cross country twice!!! still feels the same as when I bought it!!!

It happened to me
I had a noise coming from my sunroof when going over bumps. The sound would stop if I had the sunroof partially open. Took it to the dealer, they said they had to "tighten" it up. No problems since.

We're going to get some more of those April showers. Can't seem to get warm since the ice storm! Saw some sort of rally with pre 1920 cars going by. Buicks, Peugeot, Fiat, and others, all big letters on there radiators but no windows. Everyone in them were wrapped up like Eskimos but I bet they had lots of rattles in there tops. Probably couldn't hear it for the teeth chattering. Must of hit 50° that day! Enjoy your open roofs.

i ended up taking it in to the dealer, but we couldn't replicate the noise...funny how that always happens...oh well, the tightened everything up there and honestly, t hasn't made a rattle since...problem solved i guess?
