Active headlamps inoperative warning

Was wondering if anyone else has had the "Active Headlamps inoperative" warning appear on the dash. I got it last night when I was just about to park home after running a few errands. I've been keeping an eye on it today and the warning appears to come and go intermittently almost always appearing when the car is started.

Most recently i noticed the warning isn't showing up now but the headlamps don't look like they're level-ing the same as they were before (although they are moving).

Did a search and didn't notice many people having a lot of active headlamp problems. Any thoughts or advice? Running a 2010 GLK350.

So the problem has now escalated to a warning "Intel. Light system inoperative". Anyone else come across either warning?

I've had many many warnings on my car. Not this one.

Yes, I now have this error message. My light on the driver side is stuck pointing towards to the right. Tried to get in and force it back to center but no luck. Looks like another overly engineered German design for what used to work simply for a hundred + years. Has anyone ever asked for movable headlights?
