2010 GLK350: Would you recommend buying extended warranty
Hi
I wanted suggestions if I should buy an extended warranty for my 2010 GLK350. It has 37k miles on it and my current coverage expires in October 2014. This is a CPO when I purchased it. It did not have any major repairs, but now I am contemplating whether it is worth buying extended warranty. I do intend to keep the car another few years. This is my first Mercedes.
Any suggestions on this, I really appreciate.
Thanks!!

You can get details/pricing on both a Mercedes CPO extension and/or 3rd party warranty from your dealer.
On 2010's there has been a going-towards-50K mile with seepage from the tranny which requires kind of a pricey service to pull a plate and reseal the tranny - you should have your dealer specifically look for that to handle under existing CPO.
A dealer service dept will help you look for anything they can do before CPO expires - and bringing that in for their hard look a couple of months before CPO expires is a prudent thing.
If you are servicing at a dealer - and intend to go beyond 60K - a 3-pack prepaid service pack (non-refundable) will be very prudent to purchase before 40K service - purchased before 40K service that 3-pack will cover the extended 40K service (B++ which includes tranny service) + 50K A service + 60K B-service at regular (A+B+A) price which will save you some serious dough like maybe save about $800.
Keep the beat !
