Diesel fuel in Oregon

We are moving further West next month to Bandon, Or. I have been trying to find out if there are regulations for Biofuel Diesel blends in the future. I found a local Chevron dealer with a diesel price almost 20 cents less per gallon. When I looked closely at the pump there was a sheet of paper taped on it stating it was 20% biofuel. So I crossed that station off my list. Does anyone out there know if there are any upcoming state regulations increasing the amount of biofuel above 5%? Basically I don't want to get stuck in the state with a vehicle that Mercedes-Benz says that anything over 5% biofuel will void the warranty.

My understanding is that the federal gov't. offers tax breaks to refining companies if the company increases the percentage. Do some searching to get deeper into this. It was mentioned here once that I think it is Illinois that has mostly if not all 20% biodiesel. From that there must be an individual state connection in this too. Seems counterproductive to create a fuel which virtually no manufacturer of diesel powered highway vehicles recommends. VW is also on the 5% limit.

I was just at a station (Conoco) in Walla Walla Wa. to ask about fuel. The stations manager stated that the conoco diesel has 0% bio. It's also 10 cents cheaper than most others in town.

To me the best thing to do, until the FED/State grant approval for diesel engines specified for up to 100% biodiesel, do not use anything past 5% bio diesel. I personally do not use it (5% biodiesel) @ all. @ less than 9k miles, this is not my first diesel passenger vehicle. (320k miles total in diesels)
