Lease and Maintenance Question
Hi all. Just a quick question. I know the price of the Service B has been bashed to death but my question is if I get my GLK serviced at a independent shop and then at the end of my 3 years when I turn the car in will the dealer verify if the work was done at an actual MB Dealer or does that even matter? I tried searching to no avail specific to this question. Thanks

Keep all your receipts. That's what they will want to see with date and mileage on them. You can do it yourself too. Just put the date and mileage on the receipt for the oil or filter. Make sure they use (you use) 229.5 MB spec oil and a fleece filter (Mann or Hengst). I've had very good luck with Mobil 1 Euro Formula 0-40, a recommended 229.5 oil.

If you are going to lease - then back the truck up - since on a properly written lease you can add prepaid maintenance as a capitalized cost add-on - meaning if the residual is 57% - for maintenance you are paying 47%..
