Remove center vent?

My recently purchased 2010 GLK came missing the vent 'handle' to direct air, and the dealer I purchased it from provided me with an entire new center vent part.

I've searched through the archives and only found 1 other post that looks like it had the details deleted that described removing the center vent unit.

Any tips?

a. You need to pry out the air vents.
i. There are 2 spring clips on top and 2 on bottom
ii. Get a plastic pry bar set from Harbor Freight (95214) (about $5.00) and slowly pry from the sides until you can pry from the top and bottom.
iii. Go easy. Once the unit comes out a little you can see the clips and push them down to make it easy to remove.
iv. Once out disconnect the wires
Check the front grill and snap it back into place if it has become un-clamped.

update

I was able to remove the vents using your instructions, and by inspecting the replacement vents to unlock the mystery

In my case, I needed to pry the top of the vent assembly away from the dash first, and it worked best for me by working from once side to the other:

1. Inserting 1 plastic pry bar in from the passenger side, very near the top of the vent assembly, and gently pry outward
2. at the same time, from the top, use insert another plastic pry bar near the same corner. The vent assembly has two black plastic arms/pressure clips that need to be moved in order to unlock them.
