looking for end of year savings on GLK

trying to find a good deal on GLK before the new years....
I saw in this forum that some people were able to get their GLKs for around 15-18% off MSRP. that's quite impressive!
maybe it's because I'm in the bay area, so far no such luck from the local dealers...

the last two cars I bought, both came from LA. paperwork done over fedex and cars were shipped to my door...saved a few hundred bucks with that process.... I'm trying to avoid doing that this time around...

any suggestions? or if there are any MB salespeople in the forum, hook it up?

Good luck. With the popular models discounts are harder to come by unless your going into a new model year where there is a significant change to the vehicle. Most of the time the deals are in the form of financing with cash back or a lower interest rate.

Some dealers are willing at month end, to discount to meet their sales plan for the month, quarter or year. Manufacturers' incentives are an important source of income for dealers and they do not want to increase costs by losing their incentives.

thanks LesF,

I've been searching all over the state and trying to bargain with multiple dealers in the past few days.

here's what I'm finding...

there is NO factory cash for the GLK at this time, maybe there won't be any for a while... (until the 2016's come out)

Dealers are willing to make a good deal on a GLK, before the end of year... the best I can get is around 10% off MSRP. I'm trying to see if I can squeeze 12 or 13%....

I was looking for a GLK350, but after test driving the diesel, I'm sold on the GLK250...

will post back once I pull the trigger... (or pass for now, and wait till they try clearing out the 2015's for the new model year..)

A gaggle of MB's
So let me get this straight in my head - on a $50K rig - you are "holding back" over 3%/$1500 that you think out there - and that is based on some posts back-then on this forum - oh, and you have made a couple of telephone calls to local dealers.

Well... if you got serious about it - and bought now - you would be driving a new GLK for 8-9 months before the 2016's land in the in the US.

It's your decision...

LesF,

it's basically a bare GLK.
the only options are becker pre wiring, and ash wood trim...
I just bought a becker map pilot on ebay and some splash guards to keep it looking clean!

cheers...

It must be locality dependent, because in the North east while I was buying, 250BT for 10%-15% off MSRP was totally norm, did not have to haggle too much and some dealers gave it as the initial quote.

It was very hard to just find a BT250 let alone negotiating on one....
I'm happy to have it in my garage and will enjoy it for many years to come...
