2010 X204 A bunch of questions hope for answer!

Hello Folks,

I was wondering if currently my 2010 GLK will fit a 2012 GLK bumper?

If so, how can it be done? Same question for rear bumper!

----
Is it possible to swap out the rear taillights on my 2010 Non LED stop light version (the one with yellow indicator lights) to one that has the red LED taillights?

How hard would it be to convert? I looked through forum and someone said it was a plug out and in, but haven't seen any that did it post anything.

--
I'm looking to swap out the current 3 spoke steering wheel to possibly a GL type 4 spoke steering wheel... I looked through forum and found that somebody has done it, while others were refused to do it by dealers. Anyone in Toronto, ON, Canada know any technicians willing to do the conversion?

Same goes for bumper/taillight/possibly thinking of Audio20 to COMAND NGT4 conversions also!

Thanks! Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Kladz

2012 AMG bumper will fit the 2010 but you will need to retrofit and reprogram the LED DRL to run properly. Some folks on the w204 forum did this conversion and I am thinking it might be similar. The rear lamp swap will need recoding of your SAM unit so it is not actually a plug and play. The steering wheel might work as long as you have the paddle shifters on your car already and if not you might need to change th steering column module and maybe reprogramming using STAR. It might be just best to trade in your car for a 2011 with the AMG package or 2012 with the psddle shifters to get those to save you headaches and might be cheaper.

Someone did a conversion of the command and what he told me that the only thing that he needs permission from the dealer is to enable the sirius satellite and they declined to do it. The guy is from Vancouver and he did a write-up of his conversion so search it up.

Thanks for the info, I took a look at the various posts about the conversions, and they all seem promising - You reckon I can buy the parts and have a technician install all of them?

I also took a look at trade in option - It seems like my vehicle may only worth about 20k by now, and a MB Dealer 11/12 GLK costs up to 35-38k (ones with GPS & AMG package), not sure if that's worth the conversion or not.

Judging by past posts, I'm guestimating:
(in my own usefulness-priority sequence)

1. COMAND GPS conversion: $1,300
2. Steering Wheel conversion: $2,000
3. Tail light conversion: $600 for the pair + installation fee
4. Front Bumper: ???
5. Rear Bumper: ???
