lord almighty! get yourself to the dealer asap! head gasket is the only thing that comes to mind...and at 38,000 miles with regular use would sound like the car was overheated for a substantially long period of time that would cause something to warp or crack...I would definitely send her in

If it was a head gasket there would be a milky trace in the coolant and there would possibly be a sweet smell coming from the engine compartment, or exhaust ,wouldn't it?
I am thinking it maybe injector leak down and it is drowning the engine with fuel. The fuel mileage has gone down quite a bit since , from 30 to 22 mpg since I drove it down to Fla. The air filter is clean and I am using high test 93 octane fuel ALL the time.I had the B service 10,000 miles ago at a dealer.
I am an easy driver

Thats a possibility as well...but generally speaking, white/blue smoke is linked to oil being burned in the combustion chamber...so how that oil got there is the question
I would think a bad ring or maybe a head gasket but those seem like issues that come with years of millage down the line or extreme abuse...faulty parts seem more like it with this little miles...

W204 C63 Coupe, W166 ML350 BlueTEC, 928GT, C5 Z06 & IS300 race cars, EQE 4Matic+ on order
White smoke = burning coolant
Blue smoke = burning oil
Black smoke = burning too much gas (A/F mixture rich)

Sounds like a head gasket to me. Get it serviced ASAP because if the coolant gets in your crankcase, you'll destroy the crankshaft bearings and thus the entire motor.

If it just smokes when you start it up and then clears up, it could very well be the valve seats leaking. It will let oil drip into the cylinder when setting and then will seal up or be so small to not cause a problem when running. All the oil that had leaked in while sitting is immediately burnt and will cause the blue smoke. The white smoke is normally associated with burning antifreeze in the coolant. Either way, you should let the shop look at it soon while it is still under warranty because any of the fixes for the problems mentioned above will be very expensive.
