Which problems does your pre-2015 GLK have, if any?

My wife has a 2013 GLK 350 4-matic in Polar White without the Pano Roof. She has had rail dust that we (hope) was finally addressed with IronX. As you know these hot sintered iron particles get in the paint and eventually touch the metal, causing rust. The dealer says that the pads and the rotors on the GLK and the C class generally are a continuing problem with sintered iron particles, warping and rust but MB USA won't do anything about it. No, we didn't wash the brakes while hot and she bedded them in properly.

I note that the 2015 GLKs have completely different part number series for their rotors, pads, calipers, and so on.

What have your experiences been?

PLEASE INDICATE IN A MESSAGE BELOW IF YOU HAVE NO OR OTHER PROBLEMS I DID NOT LIST!

2014 GLK 250 BlueTEC
2014 diesel. No issues over a year of owning it. No rust, no warping. Brake dust i do not consider an issue. my '08 e550 has the same dusting. So did my 01' x5 4.4. So imo, dust not an issue.

Mine were warped, apparently due to washing our GLK.... should've left it covered in dirt ! :-)
Replacement of rotors & pads was covered by warranty, luckily, under 15K miles.

yes
You really should also have a check box for people that have NOT had problems with their brakes, if you want a realistic-ish view of things.

Very very slow
I agree with above post.

I have a 2010GLK with over 100,000KM and the brakes were replaced once.

GLK 350 / Porsche 993
55k miles on 2010 with no issues. About 40% left on the pads but rotors don't look great. But no vibration and braking is good.
One small issue was broken brake sensor ($1.5 part).

I have a 2015 GLK250. I have the front rotors and pads replace at 40k miles and now at 70k the hand brake is sticking. Any solution or fix for this problem?
thanks!
