Getting my first Mercedes (GLK350 2013) [Question]!

Hello!

I hope everyone is doing well on this fine Saturday night/Sunday morning! I've been lurking this forum forever now, and I think it is finally time for me to join.

As you guys can tell from my profile, I am currently driving a Toyota Camry 1999. Yes, big upgrade, I am getting my first Mercedes next week, a 2013 GLK350. I visited the car on Friday, and I fell in love with every inch of the car. The car currently has 63,000 km. Yes, I asked the seller and the required maintenance at 60,000 km was done not so long ago.

My question to you guys is, is there anything else I should worry (check, inspect) about before buying the car?

Thank you in advance!

I bought my daughter a new 2014 GLK350 last year and have been driving it around and giving her more driving seat time. I think you will not have any problems with it in foreseeable future. This car is well built that if they make it this good I can fully understand why people like the top of the line too.

Thank you for sharing your experience, I feel more assured now!

Yes, I think that's a must do even if the seller seems trustable. Almost forgot about it, thanks!

Also, do you guys think I should get the car inspected before buying at the dealer? How much does it usually cost?

Thanks again!

Used and loving it!

Got my 2012 4 year old used GLK 350 in March this year and supremely happy with it. In fact the more I drive it the more I want to drive it. Better than expected handling and great highway long distance cruising on its long wheelbase ( for such a compact car) and decent hwy mpg too. Built like a tank in shrunken form.

That is really great to know!
A bit off topic, I am from the province of Quebec too!

Get the dealer to inspect the car! Get the dealer to find all problems or future wear and tear problems and give you a quote on what it would likely cost to fix it. Then use that on the seller to negotiate a lower price of possible. I know it is a d!ck move, but you should pay a fair price for your vehicle. I gave that advice to a friend a month ago for an Acura MDX. He was able to lower the sales price by another $1500 due to some repairs needed in the imitiate future. Of course the fixing cost at the dealers is much higher so that helped him out more. Good luck!
