Yes thanks pilot! I went on MBUSA and chose the chat window as oppose to calling because you can be on hold forever! a rep came on right away! at first she said that this car didn't come with it. I ask how she knew? is there a place where I can see that says the 2014 GLK 350 didn't come with it? because many owners said their car did come with it! then she said well, some do and some don't! and said well?? depending on what? how do you know if my car is one that don't? then she disappeared for a minute, came back and said: according to your car ID, it comes with a collapsible spare which requires a compressor and if you didn't get it, ask the dealer to provide! The funny thing is just when I told my associate this he said that he already got the OK from his Gen. manager to send me the stuff!

 

I'm sure your dealer thought about it and came to the proper conclusion. Which is: Do we want to alienate a new MB customer and blow the chance of them being a repeat customer over a tire compressor?

Acoustics:
I've had my 2014 GLK 350 for 3 weeks now, and I'm very happy with it, got it with 18k miles on it and it's like new! But I noticed recently that the sound from any bumps on the road is somewhat amplified, kinda like sub-woofers! A muffled thud like, is that normal?
The car is very smooth and quiet otherwise especially on nice roads, but not so on old or bumpy roads. Is that just the way it is with all cars or is this specific to GLK?

Glad you are getting it. Looks like the old owner kept the original and the dealer forgot to check. For the $50 it probably cost the dealer, you would have thought that the good customer relations would have been worth him just giving it to you. If you have any service done by a dealer, MB sends out questionnaires on how they did. I understand that the dealers are very conscious of the responses and are somehow graded on them. I know my dealer goes out of his way to insure straight A's.

 

Yes, I was surprised by that too! it's like, not a very wise decision by management to **** off a customer for $100 bucks! (that's what they told me I have to pay if I wanted it!), My sales associate was great though he stuck with me and kept going back the the GM until they agreed. This was all done by phone, since The dealer is not local and I had the car delivered.
