It helps if you give more information on the phone you are trying to pair. Is it Android, Apple, or Other? What OS and version are you using as well as the Bluetooth version? Also, do you have the Command interface or the Standard audio system option on the GLK? Do you get any errors when attempting to pair, or does the phone just not show up?
The more info you can give the greater the chance someone can help out.
The manual specifies that Bluetooth be compatible with version 2.1 or greater in order to pair.
I own a 2013 GLK and a Galaxy S4 andoid phone running android 4.4.4 and have no problem streaming music and making calls through the Command interface.
One thing you might try is deleting any existing Bluetooth profiles and starting from scratch. Instructions for that are in the Command manual.

Thanks for the reply ZZ. My phone is a samsung 4s with android platform (2013) but Ive also tried my wife brand new iPhone and my daughters 2 yr old iPhone. I also tried switching up the order of initiation. phone first, car second then tried car first, phone second, no luck.

I have the same phone as you. My wife has a brand new iPhone 6 and my daughter hasan iPhone thats about 2-3 yrs old, none of them will pair. I tried reversing the initiation order as well,....phone first, car second and then vice versa,...still nothing "no devices found"

Let me make a suggestion - I would suggest on your COMAND that you do a "system reset" - under System - scroll down to the bottom on that menu for Reset - confirm Yes - and your COMAND will reboot itself to factory default setting and wipe out any/all user info.
After reset - you will need to reset your radio station memories - but it will allow you to start "clean" with BlueTooth connections for each phone.
Yes - often a replacement phone - or a OS update on the same phone - will require you to erase the existing connection - and set a new connection.
Doing the System rest will get you started clean.

At one time I had a similar problem. Even the Verizon people couldn't get it to pair. They gave me a new phone, paired it, and a couple of months later the same problem recurred. I did a System Reset in frustration and I found both telephones would pair! I habitually had left the phones in the car and connected by cables.
I also found that leaving a phone in the car and connected, lead to similar problems. If it's disconnected (cable from car to phone not hooked up,) and left in the car, no more problems. I surmise that power surges on startup might be the cause.

Mercedes has a site just for BT compatibility where you can look up your model phone and then get exact instructions. The problem was that the owners manual only showed the first 1/2 of the process, the second half contains another 4 or 5 steps and then its good to go.
