Bluetooth compatibility-2013
The more info you can give the greater the chance someone can help out.
The manual specifies that Bluetooth be compatible with version 2.1 or greater in order to pair.
I own a 2013 GLK and a Galaxy S4 andoid phone running android 4.4.4 and have no problem streaming music and making calls through the Command interface.
One thing you might try is deleting any existing Bluetooth profiles and starting from scratch. Instructions for that are in the Command manual.

After reset - you will need to reset your radio station memories - but it will allow you to start "clean" with BlueTooth connections for each phone.
Yes - often a replacement phone - or a OS update on the same phone - will require you to erase the existing connection - and set a new connection.
Doing the System rest will get you started clean.

I also found that leaving a phone in the car and connected, lead to similar problems. If it's disconnected (cable from car to phone not hooked up,) and left in the car, no more problems. I surmise that power surges on startup might be the cause.

Mercedes has a site just for BT compatibility where you can look up your model phone and then get exact instructions. The problem was that the owners manual only showed the first 1/2 of the process, the second half contains another 4 or 5 steps and then its good to go.
