Residual Heat retro fit to US spec car?

Just bought a 2015 GLK350 and I noticed you can only get the residual heat option if the car was sold in Canada. I really liked this on my old Merc so I was wondering if it was possible to get this added to my car somehow? Is it just some components I need to buy and get wired up or is it more complicated than that?

Residual heat is a feature on some Mercedes and apparently Canada-only for the GLK that keeps the car warm after you turn it off and leave for about 30 min. It helps if you need the car warm while you eat dinner or something.

It's not residual heat. It's like turbo timer where the fan is still running. I noticed it in my GLK but not my other vehicles.

Haven't seen this in the US since my wife's 1990 CLK. Didn't know they still did it.
My wife's 2014 C300 manual says only in Canada for residual heat and zone control

Ah yeah I wonder why they are making those Canada only features? I wish there was a way to activate this or DIY this into US-spec GLK vehicles

My old 2000 W210 had this features here in the States. It ran a circulating pump for the (still hot) coolant and the climate control fan on low to scavenge heat and keep the cabin warm. A nice feature if waiting in the car a few minutes in the cold.
I'm wondering if there isn't a harness tail that can be put to use? Probably have to add the little pump, a switch mod and tie into the climate system fan switch.
