We just purchased a 2013 CPO GLK350 4Matic and very happy so far. We live in WA state and will be heading to the mountains for a day trip. In the area we are going, they require chains to be with you at all times, if the weather turns they may require chains. Couple questions, for this AWD; do you install front, rear or chains on all 4? Are they even necessary for an AWD? Currently, I have all season, brand new tires on it, and drive like and old lady (45 year old male). Thanks!

Good question. You should not need chains esp if you have all seasons with M+S on the tire. But I think the 4matic is rear based awd. So the chains go to the rears.
