Engine coolant temperature guage F or C??

Just noticed, after 2.5 years, that my 2014 GLK 350 has the engine coolant temperature in Celsius rather than Fahrenheit. I prefer Celsius to the silly Fahrenheit but have never seen this before on a U.S. spec. car. (not that I can recall, anyway).

Does everyone else have it in Celsius?

Mine has Celsius too. Canadian spec car tho.

All MB's that I have seen here in The States have their temp gauges in Celsius degrees. Not too hard to calculate to F if you want.

It could be worse. My 1988 W201 (190E) not only had its temp gauge in C, but also the heat/air conditioning settings. I got very good at mental math back then. . .

Been driving them since 1977. ALL have it in Celsius.

There was a factory part replacement for the sticker thing on the AC control which is in Fahrenheit. Have one on my W201. Presume they were available for other series for the non purists.

Thanks for the replies.

What got me to even notice this was another thread I was reading. One of the posters mentioned an "engine" temperature of 160 degrees F. Anyway, when I read it I couldn't remember if mine was in F or in C so I had a look and then wondered why "bop11's" is in Fahrenheit (which I now realize it probably is not). He probably just did the conversion in his head.

Today it was cold. I noted that half of my 7 mile trip to work, the engine was below 160 °F. This means the system has to run rich which also eats the milage. Only 14.7 for the first half of the trip.
