2010 glk350 - Display intermittently turns off
Any ideas?
I get no error messages and the display turns on again when i press the center power button, but it intermittently turns off. The instrument cluster stays on. Last time it happened with the key turned to the accessory position i believe. The battery is new and tested good.
Is there a reset or should any programming be reinstalled?

Glk 350 command display screen randomly shuts off
The screen turns off suddenly. But it turns back on immediately when I touch the round ON button.

2010 glk 350 display intermittently off
I can't remember for sure now, but the instrument panel stayed on. When the engine is off, the entire car powers down, which i know is normal to save the battery.

When I stop for a coffee or something then get back in the GLK to read some memos, I will push the volume button on the radio and it will turn on but go off in a few 10-15 minutes. I will turn on the key but not start the engine and the same happens. If I start the engine the radio continues forever. The turning off with the key on is annoying and each time I push the volume to turn it back on it seems to take less time before it turns off. But I figure this is some software engineers idea of saving the battery.
Once or twice a year my Nav screen will fail to come on which I thiink is due to a faulty software boot. I must turn off the car, get out,and not open the door for at least 10 minutes to power down the Nav system so it performs a full reboot, and then it is good again for another 6 months. I have read in Mercedes notes that the Nav system is booted when you open the driver side door with the key off.
