2013 GLK Windscreen trim
I was looking at a 2013 GLK 4matic today. I noticed that the trim between the front windshield and the plastic trim was separating. The biggest gap is probably right at the centre. The vehicle looks like it has always been stored outside and leaves have gotten through the gap.
Question. How much of an issue is this - is it something to prevent a purchase? Would I expect water damage? Is this expensive to fix?
Thanks

Any auto glass company can fix that, however not sure of the cost. Had my windshield replaced recently and the installer took that off quite easily.

This is actually a fairly common problem with all GLK's due to the windshield shape and size. I simply rolled my vehicle to MB dealer and they promptly installed a new seal. The service team remarked that in pre 2014 vehicles, its pretty common.

It took all of 5 minutes and the dealer (MB of Ft Mitchell, KY) did it gratis. Now I just had front brakes and 4 new tires purchased from them the previous week- so perhaps that was out of customer appreciation.
