2012 GLK 350
Anyone else having this problem?

I have a 2012 GLK 350. From time to time it just locks up electronically. I start the engine and all my alerts go off (cruise control listed as inoperative, abs listed as inoperative, airbags listed as inoperative, etc. the brake light comes on, the brakes lock, the transmission locks, the rear gate won't automatically open).

I've had it put on the diagnostic machine at the dealership. They cant find the trouble. They say that sometimes the chip in the key don't connect right with the computer in the car. Not sure if that makes any sense seeing how the problem starts before I even put the key in the ignition.

This problem up until now has only happened every 6-8 months or so. But, its happened twice this week.

Anyone else experience this?

Thanks.

We had a similar sounding issue and turned out it needed a whole new fuse panel. It was the panel in the engine bay... driver side...

A poor ground can cause this. It takes a lot of sleuthing by a wiring specialist.
