Break wear warning still on

Hello glk gurus
Just got my 2011 glk 300 grand edition (whatever that means)
And the only issue seller said was the tires need to be replaced and the rear brake sensor. So tires were change and sensor too but after replacing the sensor the warning light keeps showing. So I need to get it scanned or is there another way to fix it without spending $ again. Thanks you all

The sensor came on because your pads need changing---now if the wahoos simply took the old sensor out and replace then the replacement sensor hits the disc and the warning comes on----kinda basic and if true you got screwed!!

Thanks fixed it yesterday. Just needed to replace both. Stupid seller insisted on the rear but actually requires front as well.
0 Service message now 😀

My front sensor failed at 55k miles or so. Still had over 50% of pad left. $1.50 fix.

I had the same problem at 80k but it was the rear, with lots of pad left. Indicator doesn't tell which one. $2.00 each so replaced both. The rear one actually had a broken wire which was not visible Tested it with an ohm meter. Must have been from vibration.
