Rear Wiper Starts on Its Own
I have a '10 GLK and out of the clear blue when ever I start the car the rear windshield wiper starts by itself and stops after a minute or so but where it stops in the cycle is random. It does not stop in its normal resting place.
Does anyone one have a fix?

You might have better luck on ML/GL forums.
Are your wipers on auto? The wiper is supposed to start if your wipers are on and you put car in reverse, but clearly it's not you issue. Let us know if you find something out.

Either the switch is intermittent, the stop location sensor is intermittent or the program has a glitch and needs to be refreshed. Did you have any problem with the tail gate? If you turn on the rear wiper, then turn it off does it park correctly? Also could be in the rear window wash circuit with a lose wire either under the dash or a bad contact in the switch itself under the steering wheel.

Well as luck would have it (this is a good thing) the problem has cleared on its own. This is the first problem I have had with the vehicle in many years of ownership.

Good luck, I like it when things clear up by them self but I am always a little cognoscente of it happening again This is like my bad boot on the Nav screen which only happens once or twice a year and clears after shutting down an going to get a coffee for at least 5 minutes. At least it is not critical like the intermittent ignition on my Jag E V12 was. Of course the Prince of Darkness "Lucas" made those electronics.
