2013 GLK350 4MATIC
I have purchased a certified 2013 GLK350 4MATIC. It seems to be a great truck and runs excellent. Everything seems fine without any warning messages (e.g., no check engine warning).
Today, when I ran the OBD II device on the SUV, however, I have the following set of fault code: P0087, P008A, and P1CCF. I check the gas cap and it seems ok.
Do you guys have any similar problems?
Thank you for any information.

Never mind. It turned out that the previous owner ran out of gas, which recorded the fault codes. My dealer showed me the records, and I asked them to delete the records. I checked my truck again, and no fault codes any more.

Running out of gas is not a good thing! The fuel pump in the tank is cooled and lubricated by the liquid gasoline and the fact that it ran dry may be a future problem waiting to happen.

Hi All,
I am new to this forum. We are planning to get a used 2013 Benz GLK with the M276 DI Engine. I have learned about the carbon buildup issue with DI engines but have not been able to find anything related to this particular engine. For those of you who have this engine, have you experienced any carbon buildup by now? This engine has been in production for quite a few years now and I'm assuming that by now there should be enough sample size and mileage in relation to this issue. We really like the interior upgrades of the 2013 GLK compared to the 2012. However, the DI engine is a concern to us, and if the carbon buildup is an issue with this M276 engine, we are going to look into the 2012s withe M272 engine. Thank you!!!
