Time to learn to change the O2 sensors myself...
... because the dealer changed two of them today.
I bought the car with a CEL on and the dealer who sold it to me agreed to have it fixed at their expense. Good thing, because the local MB dealer charged 140$ to diagnose the issue (which everyone already knew), 1hr @ 140$ to change both sensors, and 554$ per sensor (a discount since the «list» price is 616$ per sensor).
All in all, 1 596$ taxes included. Completely ridiculous.
If and when they fail (and they will, and my car is out of warranty), I'll just buy Denso sensors off the net @ 219$ apiece and change them myself.
Anyone has a writeup?
Cheers!

wait until your Diesel Particulate Filter gets blocked up and it will cost a few grand to replace it and a couple weeks to get one from Germany.
It's funny how they got such an expensive part excluded from the extended emissions warranty.
