2015 GLK 350 Aux Input & ECO

I just bought a 2015 GLK and the build sheet says I have an aux input jack. I found the USB port (inside the console compartment) but can't find the aux input jack. I have an MP3 I want to hook-up.

Also, is there a way to permanently disconnect the ECO system?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Mid City Engineering can take care of the eco issue (that or buy a diesel)...as for the Aux jack do they mean the one in the glove box?

Thks, but I live in Tampa Florida and Chicago is a long drive.

I looked in the passenger's glove box for the aux jack and I don't see anything there.

Do you have the cable that came with the car? That has the male end of the aux cable.

cable should have come with car..If you bought car new, go back to dealer....or buy one. Will work fine once you have the cable.

re:eco Are you asking to permanently disable it? I'm sure that you know the you can shut it off by pressing the 2 console buttons but need to do each time you start. I'm not sure if an indy MB repair can set the default to off.

The only solution I have found for ECO is Midcity Engineering's. Their mod will allow you to default it to off, but still allow it to be used if you want. Their site quotes $174 for the mod. I believe that's for the hardware and installation is additional. I have checked several MB dealers in this area and they refuse to re-program ECO to default to off, although I suspect it's possible.

Midcity has dealers even up in this remote corner of the US, so I suspect you could find one in Florida. Their web site has a dealer locator.

My warrantee is up in several months and I will probably take it to the local Midcity dealer and have this done.

If you felt like taking the dash apart, you could just add a time delay relay to simulate input from the console switch a couple seconds after start so that it would turn off the ECO automatically. I suspect that's all Midcity is doing.

My wife bought a used 2015 GLK350 and there were no cables and the salesman said that if I bought a IPOD cable it would not work. Well, he was wrong. I bought the Mercedes IPOD cable off Ebay and hooked it up in the center console and it works great. So if you can't get a cable to work with your MP3, then buy a used IPOD and a used IPOD cable. Works great.

Also, not sure about permanently disabling the ECO, but you can hit the button and turn it off.

EDIT: I just read about the STOP/START ECO Feature and I guess it's one of those annoying features that you have to turn off every time you start the car. Kind of like the C300 we had that always started up in C mode when I wanted S. Why does Mercedes do this? I'm betting they have to meet Government mileage requirements.

For the Aux. It is located in your upper right of the glove box

Thanks guys. I'm working with Becker about the nav system, and I'll probably see what I can do about the ECO function, but will continue to shut it off manually.
