wet interior

Found wet carpet in leftside passenger footwell. Nothing any more forward or on center tunnel. The car has not been in rain or carwash. I don't know how long it has been wet, it was under the floormat. The carpet was soaked, not just wet. I'm taking in in two weeks for service (2015 GLK 350 4matic) and have told them of additional problem. After I soak up the water, it seems like there is the same amount the next time I check. I don't think evap drain is that far back and no rain for clogged sunroof drain. It has been very humid and always use AC. Anyone else with this problem ?? LJ

I would guess the AC drain plug is clog, it's a simple fix so I would let them fix it since you are under warranty and complain about the smell for new floor mats

sorry.. didn't mention that this was left rear passenger footwell. I think it has to do with AC also, but the rear footwell makes this suspicious..LJ

that is the only thing that makes sense because you said about rain/carwash, because it could also be the sunroof drain.

There is a rear evaporator core for the AC so it has a drain that can get plugged.

I found a vent (?) under the driver's seat. Used a shop fan and got the rear footwell dry over the weekend. I put a baggnie over the vent (1x10in) to see if any water was coming out. It is still wet around the vent and I didn't see much moisture in the bag. I don't see a drain around the vent, but it is still is wet under the seat. Hopefully with the vent covered, it will dry out. I can't get to my dealer for another two weeks. I don't know how long the water has been there, but there is quite a lot in there...

I'm trying to show vent and accumulated water under driver's seat. The tube a left is wet at the end, but I don't know if it is just because the area around the vent is wet. I had no water in baggie I placed around vent. Most of the moisture has dried, but the dark around the vent is still wet.
