2015 GLK 350 - Expensive to maintain?
Hey everyone,
I'm considering buying a used 2015 GLK and was hoping for some feedback on the costs I can expect related to maint & repairs. My current car is a 2008 CRV and I have only spent $225 on repairs and about $2,000 on maintenance (brakes, tires, A&B services, etc.) over the last 8 years. It's been incredibly reliable. That said, it's incredibly boring and a bit slow. I'd like to get something much nicer but I'm a little weary the costs that may come along with a luxury car.
Anyway, Edmunds predicts about $10k in maint & repairs over the first 5 years for the GLK 350 ( http://www.edmunds.com/mercedes-benz...5/cost-to-own/ ) and I was wondering what everyones personal experience has been with more recent models? Does this seem accurate, low, high? I have skipped one or two of the recommended A services (except the oil&filter change) on my CRV for better or worse - is that something people do with a Mercedes or is a much more sensitive line?
Greatly appreciate ay feed back..

That $10,000 for 5 year seems excessive on a 2015 model. We have had our 2014 GLK250 for coming up for 3 years. It has required no maintenance other than regular services. Mind you, services at dealer are expensive. C$300-C$400 each and needed every say 14k km or 7k miles.
For the GLK (and most complex modern cars), out of warranty repairs can be very costly. But for a 2015, you should get remainder of original 4 year warranty and option to extend it. It cost us C$2k to get additional 2 years on everything (3yr on drive train).
