Are all 2015 GLK350 stunted by ECU
Are the 2015 GLK350's power held back by the ECU? I've noticed my 2015 GLK350 is less spirited than a 2016 C300 loaner. The C300 is 600 pounds lighter, 60 less hp but feels zippier.
How can a V6 get beat out by a 4 cylinder, in terms of sensation? I suppose being higher and heavier is a factor.
GLK350 has 302 hp, that's 31hp less than an E46 M3 and that M3 flies.
Am I wrong to compare an SUV to a Coupe?
P.S. The S mode does kick a$$, but I was expecting more from 302 hp.

Power-to-weight ratio, drivetain loss, etc..., all play in the M3's favor.
The M3's power-to-weight ratio is about 35% better than the GLK's. So deduct 35% from the GLK's 0-60 time, and you're in the low 4s. Pretty much in the M3's ballpark. Consider that the M3 also has two less wheels and one less diff to waste power, and it makes sense.
As for the C300, despite having a worse power-to-weight ratio than the GLK, its lower ride height and lighter weight will make it feel more nimble, just like a Fiat 500 or a Mini will feel livelier than a Camry V6, despite the fact that the Camry will dust both of them from a stoplight.

My 2015 350GLK is a PZEV model. I've wondered if it impacts the performance any. I've driven another non-PZEV 2013 model, I've sometimes wondered if I can feel a difference.

Speed in a straight line and carrying speed around corners are two different beasts.

This is pretty common in terms of user error. In a panic, people think they're stomping on the brakes but they're actually stomping on the accelerator. Some tragic deaths due to this... listen to Malcom Gladwell's podcast.
