2014 GLK 250 Glow Plugs
This GLK250 is my first diesel and I'm read mixed advice on glow plug replacement for the newer diesels. This is what I've read.
1. The glow plugs and controller need to replace at 50K as general maintenance.
2. Drive them until the idiot light indicates they are slow to heat-up and then replace them.
3. Replace only the faulty ones not all of them ... their not spark plugs.
As a footnote I have the plugs and controller just want knowledgeable advice on wise maintenance.
I understand the danger of breaking them upon removal and the procedure for safe extraction as well as using a 8mm carbon reamer.
Thanks
